SAMBA, Jan 17: A block-level meeting of National Health Mission (NHM) employees from Block Ramgarh was held at CHC Ramgarh under the chairmanship of Rohit Seth, president of the All JK National Health Mission Employees Association, to discuss key issues being faced by the employees.
Seth was accompanied by vice-president Noushad Wani, advisor Rajinder Kumar Sharma and Naresh. The meeting witnessed a large turnout of NHM employees from various categories, with active participation from prominent speakers, including Ajay Choudhary, Deepak Kumar, Dr Vijay Choudhary, Dr Shivali, Tarsem Lal, Devinder Kumar, Ashu Atri, Narinder Sharma and Rupesh Sharma.
The meeting focused on critical issues impacting NHM employees. Key points on the agenda included demands for regularization of employment, implementation of proper bye-laws, addressing disparities in pay among paramedics, establishing a clear transfer policy, extending EPF benefits to all categories, recognition of Sunday gazetted holiday duties, and ensuring the timely payment of salaries.
During the deliberations, the attendees passed several resolutions, including the inclusion of the first seven agenda points in the charter of demands, a pledge to work towards greater unity among NHM employees and a commitment to strengthen the association at all levels. It was also resolved that a block-level unit of the association for Ramgarh Block would be constituted at the earliest.
Addressing the gathering, Rohit Seth underscored the importance of staying united and resolute in the fight against injustice and reiterated the need for collective action to address the challenges faced by NHM employees.
