MARH, May 8: NGO ‘Widow & Orphans’ in collaboration with local authorities here today distributed ration kits to about 300 widows in Marh Assembly Constituency.
On this occasion, MLA Marh, Surinder Kumar was chief guest and he distributed ration kits in presence of Sheikh Anees Musa, chairman of NGO ‘Widow & Orphans’, Junaid Ahmad, coordinator and team of dedicated members of the NGO who worked tirelessly to make this initiative a success.
Shakti Sharma, social worker was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Sheikh Anees Musa said that primary objective of this initiative is to extend support to the weaker sections of society, particularly widows to make their lives more manageable.
Theme of the event was ‘Seva Hi Sankalp Hai’ (Service is our resolve).
MLA Marh expressed heartfelt appreciation for the NGO and urged the well off persons to come forward and support orphans and widows.
