JAMMU, Feb 17: The Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation Employees Union (JKTDCEU) organized a convention-cum-oath ceremony of its newly elected Jammu Province body at the Tourist Reception Centre (TRC), Jammu.
The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening democratic functioning and organizational unity within the Union. The ceremony was conducted following the recent election notification issued by the Election Commission of JKTDCEU. After a transparent and democratic electoral process, the Election Commission formally declared the results. As per the official notification, Qamar Din was elected as president, while Arvin Tickoo assumed the office of Chairman. Yaqoob Ahmed Naik was elected as vice president, Anata Koul as general secretary, Jatinder Kumar as cashier, and Kuldeep Singh as organizer for the Jammu Province body.
The newly elected office bearers took the oath of office in a solemn and dignified ceremony, pledging to uphold the Constitution of the Union, safeguard the interests of employees, and work with integrity, transparency, and commitment for the welfare of JKTDC employees.
The convention witnessed the gracious presence of prominent trade union leaders and dignitaries from various employee organizations. Among the distinguished guests were Mohammed Ashraf Sheikh, State president Teachers Forum and Provincial president of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC); Sachin Tickoo, State general secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA-PDD); Onkar Singh, Provincial general secretary EJAC, Sandeep Bhat, State aecretary of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS-JK), and others.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers congratulated the newly elected body and expressed confidence that the new leadership would work tirelessly to strengthen the Union and effectively represent the issues of JKTDC employees.
The newly elected president, Qamar Din, thanked the members for reposing trust and confidence in the new leadership. He assured that the Union would function with transparency, accountability, and dedication.
