As we know, we are celebrating the New Year. One year has passed, and we are entering a new one. There is celebration everywhere. But generally, we celebrate only when we achieve something. So the real question is: what have we achieved that we are celebrating the New Year?
One year has been reduced from your age. You have moved one year closer to death. Whatever you achieved in the past year – did it give you peace? Did it give you bliss? If not, then why? Development in the outer world should bring more peace and happiness, but we see that people are still restless, stressed and unhappy.
We keep wishing each other “Happy New Year” whether we are happy or not. Just saying the words does not make us happy. You need to put your own measuring scale on life. From the day you entered 2025 to the day you are entering 2026, prepare a balance sheet – not of money, but of real happiness. Analyze honestly where you stand today.
Outside development has no meaning if there is no peace and happiness inside. Happiness and peace are not available in the material world. They do not come from possessions, position or praise. They come from your inner thoughts and understanding of life.
Most of the time, we never think about ourselves. We do not ask simple but important questions:
Who am I? Why was I born? Where was I before birth?
Where will I go after death? What is birth and what is death?
We do not know the answers, yet we keep running in a crowd, blindly following others, repeating what everyone else says, without using our own intelligence.
Ask yourself today – are you really happy? Are you truly at peace?
If the answer is no, then analyze why. Why does your happiness depend on something every day? Why does it come and go? What kind of happiness is this that disappears so easily?
Where is that happiness which stays permanently? Where is that bliss which allows you to genuinely wish someone “Happy New Year”, “Happy Birthday” or “Happy Anniversary”?
This is exactly the message given by all the spiritual personalities of the world. Happiness and peace are within you. They never come from the outside world. The outside world can never give lasting happiness.
The real meaning of happiness is this: that which, once it comes, never goes away. When true happiness enters your life, no one in the world can make you sad. This is the definition of happiness given by all Godly messengers.
If you want to be truly happy, you must understand life – who you are, what is happening around you, why it is happening, and what destiny really means. Without this understanding, you will keep begging for happiness, waiting for someone to wish you on special days.
One day, you must reach a state where happiness is permanent. Happiness is not something you ask for; it is something you become. If you are not happy, then sit with your mind and analyze why.
In spirituality, happiness is the state where human birth becomes successful. It is the happiness that remains in all situations – joy or sorrow, gain or loss. Nothing disturbs it.
If you keep this understanding as your resolution, the New Year will truly bring a new life. Happiness will flow naturally, and by making others happy, your own life will become successful. This is the journey back to the God Home, to sit near the divine messengers.
If you do not achieve this goal, you will keep wandering, searching for happiness in places where it does not exist. Unless you understand this instrument – the body – and the life energy within it, happiness will remain out of reach.
Enter the spiritual world by knowing yourself. Make every moment meaningful and joyful. Keep this resolution in your mind. Then the New Year will not just change the calendar – it will change your life.
This is the “new birth” spoken of by Jesus and all spiritual masters – a new birth before death. That alone is the true success of life.
