JAMMU, Nov 9: BJP spokesperson and former Vice Chairman of J&K Social Welfare Board, Balbir Ram Rattan today described the inauguration of four new Vande Bharat trains by PM Narendra Modi from Varanasi as another major and powerful step toward building a “Viksit Bharat”.
In a statement issued, Balbir appreciated the Prime Minister’s remarks that the Vande Bharat trains are not just symbols of modernity and self-reliance, but also represent the fast-paced development journey of a “New India.”
He said that these trains have emerged as a source of national pride and are significantly contributing to connecting people from diverse regions while strengthening the unity and integrity of the nation.
“The Vande Bharat trains are not merely a means of travel but a symbol of India’s technological progress, self-reliance and the aspirations of common citizens. The ongoing efforts to expand these high-speed trains across the country, truly embody PM’s vision of One India, Great India,” he added.
Balbir noted that the J&K Union Territory is now being continuously connected with the rest of the country through Vande Bharat trains, unlocking new opportunities for tourism, trade and employment.
For the people of J&K, he said, these modern trains are not only providing faster and more comfortable travel but are also bridging emotional and regional distances.
The BJP spokesperson emphasized that Vande Bharat trains are a shining example of indigenous engineering excellence, fully designed, developed and manufactured in India under the “Make in India” initiative, without foreign collaboration.
