New Marathi film ‘Govinda’ to be released on Aug 16

KOLHAPUR, Aug 9: A new Marathi big budget film ‘Govinda’, which is based on Govinda Tarun Mandals, who breaks the ‘Dahihandi’ on ‘Krishna Janmaasthami’ festival, will be released on August 16 all over the State.

In a press conference here, film producer Vilas Waghmode, said the story of this film came into his mind when he saw a news report on TV about some youth who went into a coma after a mishap that occurred, while they attempted to break the ‘Dahihandi’ on ‘Shree Krishna Janmasthami’ day in Mumbai.
Swapnil Joshi, who acted the main role of Govinda, said that we tried to make this film beautifully. Now there is a need for glamour in this modern age and we used it in this film as well. He also appealed to all Marathi viewers to watch Marathi films in theatres.
Vrudanvan film entertainment presentation ‘Govinda’ which is directed by Atmaram Dhrpe and music by Rohan Pradhan and Shankar Mahadevan, Divya Kumar, Sonu Kakkar as playback singers, this film was made in only 24 days and will be released in about 120 cinema theatres.
