New Jat Sabha president to intensify struggle for OBC status

JAMMU, Oct 7: Newly appointed president of All J&K Jat Sabha, S. Manjit Singh today assured to work dedicatedly for upliftment of the community.
In a press conference here today Singh said that since long Jat Sabha is fighting for inclusion of the community into Other Backward Classes (OBC) category and the same demand will now be intensified.
Jat Sabha president further said that his team will soon visit the areas inhabited by Jats to announce district and tehsil level units of the Sabha so that problems of the community can be addressed.
Manjit Singh also announced the office bearers of the Sabha wherein Ch. Sukhnandan, Ch. Garu Ram (both former ministers) and Taranjit Singh Tony were appointed as Senior Vice Presidents.
Rahim Daad (former MLC), Ch. Vikram Randhawa (MLC) and Pratap Choudhary have been appointed as Vice Presidents.
Surinder Choudhary (MLC) has been appointed as General Secretary, whereas, Dwarika Choudhary and Manjit Singh Jat have been appointed as Secretaries of the Sabha.
