Srinagar, Sept 22: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi today said the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) structure would provide significant relief to the people of J&K.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the changes, which include revised and removed tax slabs, come at a time when the country’s economy has improved.
“The Government now has more resources to invest in public welfare, and thus relief to the people.”
Sethi added that lower prices under the new GST would bring happiness to the people of J&K and boost tourism, a sector long prioritized by the Prime Minister.
He noted that while the Central Government has taken steps to support tourism, matching efforts by the UT Government are still awaited.
The spokesperson described the new GST structure as a measure that would benefit both residents and tourists, increasing spending and economic activity in the region.
