JAMMU, Aug 20: New composition of Balbir Ram Rattan’s latest poem titled ‘Ravidass Kahein’ was released in a function held here today.
The poem was released by Dr Pardeep Mahotra, media in-charge of the BJP.
This composition is dedicated to the thoughts, teachings and spiritual messages of Saint Shiromani Guru Ravidass.
Through this poem, an effort has been made to awaken the spirit of love, equality, service and truth in society.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pardeep said, “Guru Ravidass was not just a saint but a social revolutionary whose words continue to guide society even today. Balbir’s poem presents Guru Ravidass’ ideas in a simple, graceful and impactful manner.”
Balbir Ram Rattan in his address said, “This is not just a poem but an attempt to bring Guru Ravidass’s ideas to the masses. This poem would prove to be a strong step toward building a harmonious society.”
Among others who were present during the release function included Guldev Raj Bhagat, Hans Raj Loria and Rakesh Pant.
