JAMMU, Jan 6: State convenor of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), Ritika Trehan, in consultation with State president of J&K BJP and Member of Parliament Sat Sharma, and Ashok Koul, State general secretary (organization), today announced the expansion of the BBBP organizational team of Jammu province.
Ritika nominated district-wise convenors and co-convenors with the objective of ensuring focused, accountable and result-oriented implementation of the flagship programme at the grassroot level.
As per the announcement, Neeru Rajput has been appointed as convenor for Basohli, while Indu Pratap Singh will serve as convenor for Kathua district. Parveen Dutta has been appointed as convenor for Samba. In Jammu region, Vidushi Rajput has been appointed as convenor for Jammu South, Tripta for Jammu North, and Parveen for Jammu Border. Neeru Anand has been appointed as convenor for Jammu district.
Renu Sharma has been appointed as convenor for Reasi, while Ashu Sharma will coordinate BBBP activities in Udhampur. Disha Devi has been appointed as convenor for Doda and Seema Bhagat for Kishtwar. Anu Singh has been given the responsibility of convenor for Akhnoor, while Pinkey Razdan has been appointed as convenor for the Kashmir Displaced unit.
In the border districts, Gulzara Kosa has been appointed as convenor for Poonch, Anu Bhasin for Nowshera, Mamta Dutt for Rajouri, and Sanjita Thakur for Ramban district.
At the State level, the core team of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme will comprise Ritika Trehan, Indu Puri, Sarojini Sharma and Sabha Bhat. The core team will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination among districts, providing strategic direction, and monitoring the overall progress of programme-related activities across the Union Territory.
