JAMMU, June 20: The administration has decided to suspend internet services in Jammu region tomorrow morning as precautionary measure.
Official sources said Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal and IGP Jammu Zone Danesh Rana after review of the situation asked the mobile operators to suspend internet services from 4 am.
However, sources said, the services could be resumed within five to six hours.
Holding of a `dangal’ at a site, which had previously led to trouble, was the reason behind suspension of mobile services, they said, adding this year the situation was entirely peaceful and no trouble was expected.
Nevertheless, they said, the administration didn’t want to take any chance and has decided to keep Net services off for few hours in the morning.
