JAMMU, Mar 1: Neetu Bali, J&K’s first women jewellery designer, has received the “Emerging Women Entrepreneur” award instituted by India SME Forum, at the Shakti National Convention 2023, held in New Delhi.
As per a statement, the award was presented by Minister of MSME, GoI, Narayan Rane, and the Minister of State for the Ministry of MSME, Banu Pratap Singh Verma, in the presence of senior officers from India SME Forum, Ministry of MSME, and MEA, as well as women entrepreneurs from across the country.
Neetu Bali is the founder of the luxury jewellery brands, “Sunder Gems & Jewels”, and “Sunder Enterprises”. Despite having a legal background and more than 20 years of experience in managing warehousing and logistics, she took a leap of faith and started her own jewellery brand.
Her designs are bold, experimental, distinctive, and expressive, and she takes inspiration from nature, history, culture, and music. Neetu Bali is also an environmentalist and promotes the skill of artisans in her region through her jewellery designs.
In addition to being a successful entrepreneur, Neetu Bali is also a poetess, artist, and the first women snooker champion of J&K. She is actively associated with various social clubs, including FICCI FLO J&K Chapter, PWWA, Sparkle, Rotary International, and is a member of India SME.
Neetu is passionate about promoting women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment and believes that it has the potential to have a significant impact on family well-being, poverty reduction, and long-term economic progress. She also emphasizes the importance of government schemes in enabling women entrepreneurs to achieve success in their businesses.
During the media brief, Neetu Bali thanked the Ministry of MSME, GoI, India SME, and Jammu and Kashmir Government for their support in boosting women entrepreneurship and identifying various initiatives to serve as a guide for achieving success in their businesses.1
