JAMMU, Nov 26: BJP Kashmir Cell National co-convenor & senior leader Chander Mohan Sharma has appealed to the Governor N.N. Vohra, who is Chancellor of Kashmir University, to weed out anti-India elements from Kashmir University alleging that anti-India demonstrations has become the order of the day in the University that too in the presence of Governor and Ministers.
Addressing press conference here today, Sharma said it was most condemnable that National Flag was forced to divest from the shooting set of Bollywood picture Hyder by a group of students and the shooting unit was forced to leave the campus of Kashmir University.
Sharma said that the country cannot afford to incur huge expenditure of running University like Kashmir, which has become breeding ground of anti-national elements. If the Government cannot ensure the healthy atmosphere in the University campus then it must be closed, he added.
The funds be diverted to Jammu University which is suffering from insufficient funds to complete its development projects.
On Omar Abdullah’s rhetoric speech at village Sangar (Nagrota Constituency yesterday) while laying foundation stone of bridge, Sharma said that it was expected that Chief Minister will speak about the left over development projects like bridges, road and flyovers in Jammu province, he chose to use this official function to attack Narendra Modi. Omar Abdullah expressed his unfounded apprehension that Modi’s visit shall communalize the situation, he added.
State Vice-President Chander Prakash Ganga, State Secretary Harinder Gupta and Jammu district general secretary Jaideep Sharma were also present in the press conference.
