NDRF teams put on alert following fresh quake; PM convenes meeting

NEW DELHI :  Teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been put on alert following the massive earthquake that struck Nepal and parts of North India again today to handle any emergency situation that might arise.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting and took stock of the situation and directed authorities concerned to be on alert for carrying out rescue and relief operations, as required.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh is also in constant touch with state governments and is monitoring the situation, officials said here.      No loss of life or property has been reported so far. ”There is no loss of life or property reported so far. Details being ascertained. The teams of National Disaster Response Force(NDRF) are on alert,” the officials said.
The earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter Scale and epicentered about 65 km east of Nepalese capital Kathmandu, rocked parts of India including  Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Sikkim  and Assam besides Delhi and NCR.
