DODA, May 27: An accused of NDPSA case here today was convicted by the Court of Special Magistrate in Bhaderwah.
Giving details in this regard, official sources said on February 15, 2023, a case in FIR No. 19/2023 Under Section 8/20 NDPS Act was registered against Parshotam Kumar, son of Kishori Lal, resident of Goha, at present Beri Derka, Tehsil Bhalla at Police Station Bhaderwah as he was found in the possession of an intoxicant substance.
Finally Challan of the case was presented before the Court for judicial determination. Accordingly, the trial continued for nearly two years and on May 16, 2025 the Court convicted the accused.
The Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Bhaderwah by taking a lenient view convicted and sentenced the accused with a fine of Rs. 7000 for committing the offence Under Section 8/20 NDPS Act.
