DEORIA, March 15: Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief and union minister Jayant Chaudhary, stated on Sunday, that the NDA government is steering the country forward on the path of development and stability. In contrast, the Samajwadi Party (SP) has shrunk its focus to casteism, abandoning the principles of socialism, he added.
Chaudhary commented on the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, stating that the Government of India is closely monitoring the entire situation and is taking every necessary step to safeguard the nation’s interests.
Offering a measured response to the recent statements made by SP National President Akhilesh Yadav, he remarked that any leader should exercise care in their choice of words while speaking, as the decorum of language holds immense significance in public life.
Addressing a public gathering here today, union Minister Chaudhary levelled accusations against the Samajwadi Party, asserting that it has forgotten the ideals of socialism and has confined itself solely to caste-based politics.
Taking a jibe at the party, he remarked that the true meaning of the SP’s “PDA” acronym remains unclear. He issued a warning to farmers, cautioning them that if they allow themselves to be divided along caste lines, they will be left with no one to advocate for their interests.
Citing the philosophy of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, he noted that Charan Singh had aspired to eradicate casteism and liberate rural society from social evils. He emphasised that the nation’s progress is inextricably linked to the progress of its farmers; therefore, the NDA government remains steadfastly committed to safeguarding the interests of the farming community.
Reflecting on Chaudhary Charan Singh’s tenure, he highlighted the significant initiatives undertaken during that period-such as the abolition of the Zamindari system, the protection of farmers’ rights, and the establishment of the Ministry of Rural Development.
He further stated that, in furtherance of Charan Singh’s vision, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has established the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. The primary objective of this initiative is to encourage and guide the youth toward entrepreneurship. The NDA government is actively working to boost investment in rural areas and strengthen the rural economy-efforts that are already yielding tangible, positive results. (UNI)
