JAMMU, Aug 14: Former Minister and State NCP chief Thakur Randhir Singh has said that Congress leaders speak in two voices on Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, he said in all party meeting at New Delhi, Dr Karan Singh suggested that talks be held with separatists and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad left his position much more undefined. He however welcomed the statement of former Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Beigh that current unrest in valley is “undisclosed’ and different from earlier protests in several aspects.
He expressed the view that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is a man of vision and mission should take the people of Ladakh and Jammu seriously as both these important areas have been totally ignored since 1975 in the field of education, employment, development and above all not holding delimitation of assembly constituencies upto 2016, which was managed quietly by Dr Farooq Abdullah by passing a resolution in the assembly with the help of Jammu MLAs.
