SRINAGAR, July 26: National Conference Legislative Party in Legislative Council has taken serious exception and strongly condemned the episode in which the PDP MLA, Murtaza Khan, has used unparliamentary language and manhandled NC MLC, Vijay Bakaya.
In a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of MLC and leader of the party in Legislative Council, Ajay Sadhotra, it was decided that the party would vigorously pursue the privilege motion moved by Bakaya. The meeting also decided that no member of NC in Legislative Council will attend any House Committee meeting in which Murtaza Khan is either Chairman or member of the committee till appropriate action is taken by the Chairman.
The meeting also emphasized the Chairman of Legislative Council to take strict action against the erring Legislator in order to maintain the sanctity of the House.
Others present in the meeting included MY Teng, Devender Singh Rana, Vijay Bakaya, Ajatshatru Singh, Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy, Aga Syed Ahmed, Javed Rana, Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, Dharamveer Singh Oberai and Dr Bashir Ahmed Veeri.
