BANIHAL, Dec 27: National Conference (NC) district Ramban president, Sajjad Shaheen today visited villages Kawna, Bawah, Arimarg and Mahu in Tehsil Khari and took stock of the situation arisen after inclement weather in remote and far flung areas.
He met people from different shades of life who apprised him about problems due to erratic power supply and scarcity of drinking water.
Shaheen said the road connectivity to Khari-Mahu and Banihal-Mangit mostly remains snapped for weeks together after snowfall and delay in snow clearance badly impacts the mobility there which adds to the misery of the people.
He also mentioned about more such roads in the area and said that complaints about defunct utility services have also been received from Khari-Trigam, Mahoo-Mangit, Neel, Pogal-Paristan and other areas.
Shaheen urged upon the LG and district administration to sanction ex-gratia relief in favour of NoKs of the young boy who died in road accident on Mahu road near Arimarg.
