JAMMU, Jan 28: Provincial President National Conference, Jammu province Devender Singh Rana said that National Conference is the party which has stick to its declared policy of communal harmony, solidarity and equitable development of all the three regions of the State and its tireless work to achieve this goal is amply clear to all.
Addressing meetings of District Working Committees of Billawar and Udhampur here today at party headquarters Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Rana said that straight forwardness and right approach to address State’s problem has been the standard of National Conference always. He said under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and working president of National Conference a new energy has been infused in the rank and cadres of the National Conference.
“The workers and party office bearers are working selflessly as has been their trait since the inception of the party by Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah and the enthusiasm of party workers to achieve holistic welfare and equitable development in a peaceful and conducive atmosphere is as strong and alive as it was ever”, he said.
Rana said National Conference is a movement rather than a party as its history reveals. He said public cause and State’s interest has been dearest to National Conference and its leadership.
“The leadership of the party never cared for power but relinquished the seat of power for the public cause and State’s interest”, he said and asked the youth to go through the pages of the history.
Rana said the State Coalition Government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah has taken path breaking development initiatives and it is high time that all of us together take the message of the Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government to the grass root and make people aware about the great initiatives taken by the Omar led Government in the State.
Addressing the meetings, Vice Presidents of the party Peer Mushtaq Bukhari and Rattan Lal Gupta said that the policies and programmes of National Conference and the State Coalition Government is receiving wholehearted support by the people in general and youth in particular in all the three regions of the State.
Central Secretary Kr. Rachpal Singh Provincial President Women Wing, ex-legislators, District Presidents, Block Presidents, contested candidates and other prominent office bearers of the districts also addressed the meetings.
