NC delivering on promises: Sadhotra

JAMMU, Apr 12: National Conference, additional general secretary and former Minister, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that the decision to fill up 25,000 vacancies in Government departments and free electricity to AAY families in Jammu and Kashmir, marks a significant step towards fulfillment of the promises made by the Government led by Omar Abdullah.
Addressing a public meeting at Barnai, in Wrad 63 in Jammu North Assembly Constituency, Sadhotra said the twin initiatives reflect the government’s commitment in addressing unemployment among educated youth and easing the financial burden on economically weaker sections. He said these measures are in line with the pro-people agenda of the National Conference, which has always prioritized inclusive growth and social justice.
Sadhotra said fulfilling the aspirations of the educated unemployed and improving the living standards of marginalized sections remains the cornerstone of the party’s philosophy. He said that the Government is steadily and firmly moving on the path of empowerment, development and economic prosperity, ensuring that the benefits of governance reach every section of society.
Highlighting the broader vision of the National Conference, Sadhotra said the party has consistently pursued people-centric policies, aimed at bridging socio-economic gaps and ensuring equitable development across regions. The policies of NC are guided by the principle of inclusivity, transcending barriers of religion, region, caste and class, he said.
Local people projected their problem of shortage of drinking water and lanes and drains. Sadhotra assured the participants that he will take up with the Government at appropriate level and get their problems redressed.
