NC-Cong would win all LS seats: Haque

UDHAMPUR/RAMBAN, Mar 17: AICC secretary and Incharge J&K Affairs Mainual Haque (MLA) has said that Congress-NC coalition would win all the 6 seats in the state because of the secular approach of coalition and tremendous support of the UPA Government to the state in every sphere of activities in three regions.
Mr Haque, who was on tour of Ramban and Udhampur district said this while addressing a meeting of party workers at Chaneni constituency. He said that Congress has mass support in the area and the benefit of coalition would ensure the defeat of communal and divisive forces.
AICC secretary said that the foundations of our nation are based on secular ideology and people would not accept any approach which is against the sprit of pluralistic living. He said that any approach or ideology contrary to the concept of pluralistic society would be fraught will be dangerous to the unity and integrity of the nation.
He asked the party workers to vigorously campaigning highlighting the achievements of the UPA-1st and UPA-IInd which has brought revolutionary legislations like RTI, Right to Food, Right to Work, Right to Education etc. and taken care of the interest of each and every section of the society  and part of the country, especially the border state of Jammu and Kashmir which is on the path of peace, progress and prosperity. Krishan Chand Bhagat MLA also spoke on the occasion.
In a public meeting at Ramban, Mr Haque asked people to strengthen Congress for better future of J&K.
AICC secretary appealed the people to further strengthen the Congress party for a better future of J&K State. He said that Congress party is the only secular force acceptable in all the three regions and has emerged strong because of people’s support to its policies and programmes and it will lead the State to  peace, progress and prosperity. He said that Congress led UPA Government headed by Dr. Manmohan Singh has taken keen interest for opening new projects by liberal funding for several schemes as a wealth for development activities.
Referring to the demand to the people of the area that Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad should be the candidate of Kathua,Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency, he assured them that he will take up their demands with the party high command.
Other prominent leaders who addressed the gathering included Vikar Rasool (MoS), Ashok Kumar Dogra-MLA, Farooq Andrabi-general secretary PCC and others.
