JAMMU, June 29: National Conference (NC) leadership has announced new team of its youth wing– Youth National Conference (YNC).
According to the party leadership, the pivotal leadership transition, has occurred at a critical juncture, as the youth of Jammu and Kashmir confront numerous obstacles, including socio-economic hardships, restricted access to resources, and a demand for improved representation in decision-making processes.
NC senior leaders and legislators – Shameema Firdous, Salman Sagar, Ehsaan Pardeep honoured the new office bearers of YNC and expressed hope that this new team will reflect the ethos of their predecessors and actively champion the youth, guaranteeing that their voices are acknowledged and their concerns are articulated.
Irfan Zahgeer, newly appointed vice president YNC Kashmir, holds degree of master’s in public administration. He joined YNC in his school days and was nominated block president and joint secretary earlier.
Abid Wani, YNC vice president from Srinagar has done his software engineering from Karnataka while another vice president from South Kashmir Advocate Peerzada Musharraf is MA LLB from Jammu University. Earlier, he had hold positions of district president Anantnag and zonal president of youth wing South Kashmir.
Salman Matoo, another vice president is BA LLB, LLM University of Hertfordshire London (England). Sheikh Ovais who is nominated provincial secretary of YNC Kashmir is MBA from MS Ramaiah Banglore. Rais Matoo, MA public policy and administration, has been nominated as zonal head of central Kashmir of YNC.
Ferozwani, who is new zonal head of YNC south remained zonal secretary and vice president before nominated zonal head while Bilal Ganai who served as district president Srinagar was nominated as provincial joint secretary.
Zahid Mughal is another youth leader who got appointed as zonal president of YNC north Kashmir. Hananhassan Qazi, who is civil engineer by profession, has been nominated as senior member of executive committee of YNC Kashmir. He is core member of previous youth body.
