JAMMU, Dec 8: Vijay Bakaya MLC while interacting with voters of various constituencies of the Kashmir valley which are going to polls on December 14 and 20 respectively said that National Conference (NC) is alone a party which can bring peace and stability to the State.
He informed them that it was the NC which came forward in 1996 to fight elections after six years of turmoil and Governor’s rule to restore the damaged infrastructure in the State.
Mr Bakaya said since then NC has taken the State to new heights of development and progress. He said NC regarded Kashmiri Pandits as an integral part of the socio –political fabric of the State and the Valley and it is committed to their return to the Valley with dignity and security. The NC is also committed to preserve the cultural and religious heritage of Pandits and the NC alone can work for the welfare of KPs by making recommendations to GoI to enhance relief and providing grants for rebuilding of damaged infrastructure.
Bakaya was accompanied by M K Yogi, Deepak Koul, Vinod Razdan, Bushan Lal Bhat, M L Munshi and Bal Krishan Bhat.
