Usually there are nine Navratras, however, this time there were eight such auspicious days during which people observed fast and offered prayers to various forms of Goddess Shakti.
As per ritual, the Saakh was sowed at the start of Navratras which got sprouted in these auspicious days and was ultimately immersed today in the flowing water at the culmination of Navratras.
