JAMMU, Oct 7: The Navratra festival, organized by Swami Paul’s Meditation Home, Jammu, concluded with the “Purnahuti” of Maha Gayatri Yagna on Maha Navmi, here today.
During the festival of nine days, apart from Gayatri Yagnas, the Dhyan Sessions with Kirtan and devotional singing and discourses by the spiritual head of the Meditation Home; Swami Paul were organized. Large number of devotees from various parts participated in the Yagna.
Addressing the gathering, Swami Paul said that in this era of unrest and turmoil afflicted with mental and bodily anguish, excessive rainfall, conflagration, earth-quake and other natural calamities torn by immortality, oppression, corruption, the Sri Rama’s name alone is the sovereign recipe for ridding the living beings of the whole universe of all the ailments and bringing all round happiness to them as well as for enabling them to attain the ultimate and supreme goal of human life in the shape of final beatitude.
“Truthful dealing carried on with an eye to the good of all, divorced from egotism and selfishness marked with politeness and love, serves as an object lesson to others and one’s own soul too gets purified and elevated in the true sense. Thus, it does immense good to the world at large,” he added.
Swami Paul further said that entire world is in the grip of terror today only because of the absence of the nectarean stream of love. “The world, which is set on the furnace, be inundated by holy stream of nectarean love, full of self-abnegation. May all be well with the world. May men of evil nature discard their villainy! Let our mind be intent on the good of all,” he prayed and stressed that a man should sacrifice his own personal interest in the interest of the whole creation.
