JAMMU, Nov 7: National Awami United Party (NAUP) president, Sandeep Singh Manhas has questioned Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah regarding provision of free electricity units in J&K.
Manhas asked why the scheme, which grants 200 free electricity units, is limited to a targetted population rather than to all the J&K residents.
In a handout the NAUP leader stated that NC in its manifesto has promised free electricity for all J&K residents.
He asked CM Abdullah that selective benefits do not align with the spirit of their campaign pledges.
Manhas emphasized that NAUP would continue to advocate for the rights and promises owed to the people of J&K, pushing for a governance model that honours the needs of all citizens equally.
