JAMMU, Jan 25: Shikha Bandral, Senior Leader of the National Awami United Party (NAUP), today demanded a High Court-monitored probe into the recently revealed irregularities in the J&K Police Constable recruitment results.
Addressing to the media persons, Bandral said, “While we appreciate that a probe has been initiated, history tells us that most inquiries fail to hold those responsible for corruption accountable. A High Court-monitored investigation is essential to ensure transparency and restore trust in the recruitment process.”
She expressed deep concern over the impact such scams have on the youth of Jammu and Kashmir, who are already battling high levels of unemployment.
“These repeated recruitment scams not only erode public faith in institutions but also shatter the aspirations of hardworking young candidates. It is imperative that the government acts decisively to address these issues,” she said.
Bandral reaffirmed her party’s commitment to standing with the youth and called for swift action to uncover the truth.
“We cannot allow these scams to destroy the hopes and dreams of our future generation. Justice must be delivered,” she added.
The demand comes in the wake of allegations that the recruitment process was marred by significant discrepancies, raising doubts about its integrity.
Shocking examples include instances where candidates who secured only 5 or 17.5 marks in first phase of the exam scored over 90 marks in next. This has led to widespread outrage among aspirants, who believe that the recruitment process may have been compromised due to a possible leak of the question paper before the exam.
