JAMMU, Nov 3: National Awami United Party (NAUP) president, Sandeep Singh Manhas has raised the issue of daily wagers who are awaiting regularization of their services from the last many years.
Addressing a press conference here today Manhas claimed that many daily wagers of PHE along with SPOs, Home Guards and other such employees in different government departments who are working 24×7 are awaiting regularization of their services.
“These employees are still trapped in the cycles of uncertainty while some of them have even passed away with their dreams unfulfilled,” he said.
The NAUP leader also said that these employees work tirelessly providing essential services and their work contributions for the society are undeniable.
He urged everyone to recognize their valuable contributions and the hardships they face on daily basis.
Manhas urged upon J&K LG, Manoj Sinha to exercise his authority effectively and address the issue of daily wagers promptly.
“Regularising the services of daily wages would be a Diwali gift to them,” he maintained adding: “NAUP is committed to stand with daily wagers and will protest if their issue of regularization remains unresolved.”
