JAMMU, Feb 17: Senior leader of the National Awami United Party (NAUP), Shikha Bandral today strongly condemned the horrific sexual assault on a three-year-old girl in Bishnah.
Addressing the media, the NAUP leader stressed that the legal proceedings should be fast-tracked to provide immediate justice, serving as a powerful deterrent so that no individual in the future dares to commit such a heinous crime.
She termed the incident a “stain on humanity” and a terrifying reflection of a breakdown in social safety.
“Such barbaric acts against innocent children cannot be tolerated in any civilized society and must be met with the full force of the law,” said Shikha.
The NAUP leader has formally demanded that the government and law enforcement agencies ensure the accused receives the most stringent punishment possible.
Shikha further called upon the administration to provide all necessary medical and psychological support to the child and her family during this devastating time.
The NAUP has called for intensified security measures and a collective societal stand against such brutality to ensure that Bishnah and Jammu as a whole remain safe for their most vulnerable citizens.
