‘Twelfth Night’ is William Shakespeare’s most famous comedy with a twist. The comedy hinges on mistaken identity and role reversal. Its title is influenced by many of the traditional themes of Christmas and its celebration.
Romance and the comic fade into each other by almost insensible gradations, and the greatest beauty of a poetical work often consists in the harmonious blending of these two elements. Twelfth Night, written by William Shakespeare presents a perfect unification of these emotions. This comedy, devises a romantic plot, misplaced passions and mistaken identity.
