JAMMU, May 21: Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP national secretary and MLA R.S. Pura – Jammu South Assembly constituency, Ch. Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu Assembly constituency, held a public Darbar at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Headquarters. Trikuta Nagar, here, today.
Citizens during the Darbar presented a wide array of concerns, ranging from basic civic amenities to specific infrastructural needs and personal health emergencies.
Dr. Narinder Singh and Ch. Vikram Randhawa after listening issues took up them with the concerned departments through direct communication. For other matters requiring further follow-up, written representations were prepared and forwarded to the respective authorities for timely action.
Among other issues, a deputation from Jogian Mohalla, Shiv Nagar demanded the removal of garbage trolley. A deputation from Bandhu Rakh, Satwari requested for the development of cremation ground. A deputation from Bandhu Rakh stressed on black topping and repair of roads. A deputation from Ward 55, Kunjwani requested for installation of a Transformer. A deputation from Sainik colony demanded the construction of road and drainage of area adjoining sector -F. Deputations from Nai Basti, Last Morh, Trikuta Nagar requested for repair of street lights.
A deputation from Dagiana Ward No 58 demanded the construction of a bathroom at Cremation ground.
A serious patient requiring immediate specialized intervention was referred to PGI, Chandigarh. A deputation from Shiva Colony demanded upgradation of water pipelines in Ward 68. Deputations from Ext Trikuta Nagar, Sector 7 Trikuta Nagar, apprised the senior leaders about the irregular water supply. A deputation from Nanak Nagar demanded the construction of the drain.
Talking to delegations, Dr. Narinder Singh stated that the growing number of deputations attending the Darbar reflected the unshakable faith of the people in the BJP’s governance model. He reiterated the party’s resolve to provide swift and effective solutions to the public, especially the underprivileged sections. Ch. Vikram Randhawa, in his address, highlighted the BJP’s philosophy of people-centric governance. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, the Government has maintained a continuous connection with the grassroots level. This Public Darbar is a shining example of our resolve to be accessible and accountable to the people,” he remarked.
The proceedings of the event were coordinated by T.K. Sharma, co-convenor of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (J&K BJP).
