Narinder Singh announces Rs 1 crore aid for flood relief

JAMMU, Sept 14: BJP national secretary and MLA, Dr. Narinder Singh today declared a contribution of Rs 1 crore to intensify relief and rehabilitation measures for those affected by the recent floods.
The announcement was made at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, today, in the presence of BJP national general secretary and J&K Prabhari, Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP president, Sat Sharma (CA), MP (Lok Sabha), Jugal Kishore Sharma, along with several senior party functionaries.
The allocated amount will be directed towards restoration and reconstruction of essential public infrastructure and addressing the large-scale destruction caused by continuous rains, flash floods and other calamities that have disrupted daily life and livelihoods across the UT.
Commending the initiative, Tarun Chugh stressed that the disaster has inflicted severe hardship and it is the duty of public representatives to extend prompt and effective assistance.
Sat Sharma underlined that BJP legislators and leaders are working hand in hand with the affected population, not only ensuring urgent relief but also focusing on sustainable rehabilitation.
Dr. Narinder Singh explained that this financial support is more than a monetary allocation, it symbolizes the party’s solidarity with the people. He stressed that rebuilding damaged infrastructure and restoring livelihoods remain the foremost objectives and assured that the resources will be utilized entirely for the benefit of the affected families.
