Naresh’s book “Char Kous Per Badle Vani” released

JAMMU, Feb 23: Department of Hindi, University of Jammu (JU) organized a function to release a book titled “Char Kous Per Badle Vani” in its Seminar Hall.
The book was released jointly by Prof Neelam Saraf, Prof Parmeshwari Sharma, Dr Parvinder Kour, Dr Om Parkash Dwivedi, Dr Ashok Kumar, Dr Rajni Bala and Parshotam Kumar. Written by Naresh Kumar Khajuria, the book is a collection of Gaddi folklore of tehsil Bani of district Kathua.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Parvinder Kour, who presided over the function, said that there is a need of such works to be taken by the Research Scholars.
Earlier, reading a paper on the book, Sanjeet Singh maintained that the book includes Suhagas, Gorian, Kark and Anchalian, etc, which reflects the Pahari culture and acquaint us with the roots of our oral traditions.
The second paper, written by Vandana Sharma, was read by Sushil Kumar. In her paper, Vandana wrote on the Shringarparak songs and languages of the folklore.
