KISHTWAR, Nov 3: Police here today arrested a notorious narcotics smuggler hailing from Sangrambatta area.
Giving details in this regard SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal said that a police party from Police Station Kishtwar led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO Police Station Kishtwar assisted by PSI Happy Chaudhary under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta while on routine patrolling at Sangrambata area apprehended a suspicious person and on his search 312 banned Proxyband Spas capsules were recovered.
The narcotic smuggler was identified as Saqib Shabir, son of Shabir Ahmed, resident of Sangrambatta, Kishtwar.
A case has been registered in FIR No. 254/2023, U/Section 08/21/22(NDPS) Act in this regard and investigation started.
SSP Kishtwar has issued a stern warning to all those involved in narcotics trade and emphasizing that Police will continue relentless efforts to combat drug-related crimes in the region.
