Narco smuggler held with charas

JAMMU, Nov 7: Bakshi Nagar police arrested a narcotic smuggler and recovered charas from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Bakshi Nagar police station intercepted a person for checking on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 65 grams of charas wrapped in two maize covers from his possession and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Sanjeev Kumar (40), son of Sat Pal Sharma, a resident of Sector 7, Lower Roop Nagar.
A case under FIR Number 144/15 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at police station Bakshi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar police station Inspector Ashwani Kumar along with SI Javed Iqbal Kataria, SI Mukhtiyar Ali and SI Vikas Hans made the arrests under the supervision of Vivek Shekhar, Incharge SDPO City West, Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan, SP City North, Jammu and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
