Narco smuggler held, huge quantity of drugs recovered

JAMMU, Dec 1: Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) today arrested a narco dealer and recovered huge quantity of drugs from his possession.
“On specific input, ANTF laid a naka at Shah-Balore near Mansar Morh and intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number JK21-4771 that was coming via Mansar,” sources in the ANTF said.
They said on thorough checking, a huge quantity of poppy straw weighing approximately 552.28 kg was recovered from the truck and one Narco dealer identified as Angrej Singh son of Khem Raj of Paraei (Panchari, Udhampur), was arrested from the vehicle.
Accordingly, sources said a case FIR Number 18/2022 U/S 08/15 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station ANTF Jammu. “The investigation is at initial stage and ANTF is investigating the forward and backward links of this consignment and more arrests are expected,” sources added.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of SSP ANTF Vinay Sharma.
