UDHAMPUR, Nov 23: Police arrested a narcotics smuggler in Majalta area and seized one kg poppy straw like substance from his possession, here today.
Police team from Police Station Majalta, while performing vehicle checking at Plater Morh, stopped a truck bearing Registration Number PB06-3266 for checking purpose.
During checking, one kg of poppy straw like substance was recovered from the Truck following which Police arrested the driver, identified as Ved Parkash, son of Joginder Singh of Billawar, Kathua.
On this, a case under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Majalta and further investigation was set into probe.
