Narayana Hospital celebrates National Cancer Survivors Day

JAMMU, June 1: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (SMVD) Narayana Superspeciality Hospital celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day by bringing together cancer survivors from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir to honor their incredible journeys of strength, hope and recovery.
The event was both emotional and joyful, highlighting the resilience of those who have fought and defeated cancer with the support of the Hospital’s expert oncology team.
The gathering included survivors treated by the Hospital’s dedicated specialists – Dr Abhinav Chaudhary (Surgical Oncologist), Dr Manoj Gupta (GI Onco Surgeon), Dr Deepak Bharti and Dr Rajeev Saini (Medical Oncologists), Dr Deepika Gupta (Hemato-Oncologist) and Dr Rajpal Singh (Radiation Oncologist) – all of whom have played a vital role in delivering advanced and compassionate cancer care.
Patients and survivors attended the event from a wide range of districts including Doda, Udhampur, Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Rajouri, and even from the Kashmir valley, underscoring the Hospital’s far-reaching impact across the region. Many survivors shared their stories of battling advanced-stage cancer, overcoming tremendous challenges, and regaining their lives through the care and support they received.
Adding to the spirit of celebration and fun, RJ Rohit and RJ Chaitanya from Mirchi 98.3 FM engaged the audience with interactive games, question-and-answer sessions, and light-hearted entertainment, making the event memorable and joyful for all attendees.
