Srinagar, Dec 12: Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today said the BJP did not support the forced conversions of Muslims in Agra and that they want a Bill in the Parliament which bans the forced conversion.
He said that whosoever has forcibly converted people should be sent to jail.
Naqvi said forced conversions were not acceptable in any way and there should be a law banning any such activity.
“There should be a discussion on the issue in the Parliament. We want that a bill be brought in the Parliament against forced conversions,” he said.
Naqvi was in the Valley to campaign for the party candidates in the fray for the fourth phase of Assembly elections.
