JAMMU, Dec 29: In an impressive function, Nami Dogri Sanstha today celebrated its 21st foundation day by organizing an impressive function.
Twenty one years ago, on 29-12-1998, Nami Dogri Sanstha was formed by its founder members late S S Anand Lehar, Capt Lalit Sharma, Advocate – Dogra Harish Kaila, Prof Anupama Sharma, Prithvi Raj Sharma and Ramesh Rahi. At present Nami Dogri Sanstha is working under the patronage of D C Raina, Advocate General, UT of J&K.
On the occasion, sweets were distributed among all the present members who recalled the work done by Nami Dogri Sanstha for the promotion of Dogri script and Dogri language.
During the 21 years, Nami Dogri Sanstha organised various programmes to promote Dogri language such as Kavi Ghoshthis, Kavi Sandhis, book release functions, felicitation functions, press conferences etc. Youth wing of Nami Dogri Sanstha was also formed to promote the Dogri language amongst the youths too.
Those present during the celebration occasion, included Prof Anupama Sharma, Dr Narinder Mohan, Capt Lalit Sharma, Dr Chanchal Sharma, Rakesh Sharma Tript, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Shambu Ram Pyasa, Yash Paul Yash, Sham Talib, Aarsh Om Dalmotra, Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, Ramesh Rahi, Sardar M S Kamra, Daya Ram Daya, P L Parihar, Sandeep Singh Jamwal, Krishan Lal Mast, O P Shakir, Chaman Lal Sagoch, Jatinder Jolly, K K Shakir, Avnish Anand, Advocate Nidhi Kaila Choudhary, Rohit Choudhary and others.
