Nalwa tours Muslim Bastis, distributes ‘Saugaat-e-Modi’ kits

JAMMU, Mar 27: J&K BJP Minority Morcha president Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, accompanied by other Morcha leaders, extensively toured Muslim Bastis and some slum areas in the Jammu’s peripheral areas and distributed ‘Saugaat-e-Modi’ kits among several needy & underprivileged families.
Nalwa reached out to these Muslim families on the eve of Eid, with the helping kits prepared and named as ‘Saugaat-e-Modi’. He said the whole exercise was conducted under the close supervision of J&K BJP president Sat Sharma and organizing secretary Ashok Koul.
This was the BJP’s first-of-its-kind outreach programme across the country. The initiative is part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to bring smiles on the faces of underprivileged Muslims who could not afford to buy gifts on Eid.
To bring smiles on these families, the Morcha office bearers led by Nalwa met these families, interacted with them and apprised them of various schemes which the Central Government had launched for their welfare.
Speaking on the occasion, Nalwa quoted Minority Morcha’s National president Jamal Siddiqui having said that the Morcha was all set to carry Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘saughat’ (gift) to 32 lakh needy Muslim families on the occasion of Eid.
Nalwa said the Minority Morcha was distributing help-kits throughout the country with the message of brotherhood and Modi’s mantra of ‘Saab ka sath, Saab ka vikas’ through ‘Saab ke prayas’.
He said approximately 400-500 needy families were given the help-kits. “All the things, which are required for Eid celebrations and Iftars, have been made available in the Saughat-e-Modi kits,” he said.
Prominent among those, who accompanied Nawla, included vice-president Jasmeet Kour Panday, Surjit Singh, Rocky Singh, Deedar Singh, Harpreet Singh, Vicky, Ramneek and Pravez.
