REASI, Sept 13: Police arrested two persons including Naib Sarpanch for mischief and attacking police team.
As per police spokesman, two persons identified as Naib Sarpanch Maqsood Hussain Shah, son of Ghulam Hussain Shah of Shergarhi Chassana and Bharat Singh, son of Janak Singh of Thalkot were arrested for mischief and attacking police team.
They were wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 35/2021 under Sections 341, 353, 382, 147, 149, 336, 504, 506, 225, 224 and 120-B IPC and Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public property Act at Police Station Chassana.
Police cops had gone to arrest a rape accused Prem Singh and his accomplices, when they were attacked on August 31 this year by Naib Sarpanch and his associates. However, Prem Singh, a history sheeter and his accomplices were arrested by the cops.
Further investigation into the case registered against Naib Sarpanch Maqsood Hussain Shan and Bharat Singh is going on.
