JAMMU, Mar 5: Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University of Jammu (JU), Prof Umesh Rai, today honoured the multi-tasking staff for while acknowledging their vital role in helping the university secure the prestigious NAAC A++ Accreditation.
Prof Rai lauded Dr Bharat Bhushan, Chief Medical Officer, along with teams led by Ajmer Singh, Arboriculturist and Suresh Sharma, Incharge of the Sanitation Wing, for their commitment to maintaining a clean and green campus. He highlighted that their hard work was crucial in creating an environment that aligns with the highest standards of academic excellence, significantly contributing to the university’s remarkable achievement.
In his address, Prof Rai emphasized that the NAAC A++ Accreditation is a result of collective efforts, made possible by the dedication of every individual associated with the university. He expressed gratitude to the support staff, acknowledging that their contributions, often overlooked, are fundamental to the institution’s progress. He also assured them of continued support for the development of the university.
The event was attended by several notable figures, including Prof Anju Basin, Dean of Academic Affairs; Prof Meena Sharma, Dean of Planning and Development; Prof Naresh Padha, Convener of the NAAC Steering Committee; Prof Yash Pal Sharma, Convener of the Advisory Committee, Health Centre; Prof Piyush Malviya, Convener of the Arboriculture and Landscaping Unit; Dr Ginny Dogra, Director of DIQA; and Ameet Targotra, Assistant Director of DIQA, along with the office bearers of JUNGEU.
The event was organized under the aegis of Directorate of Internal Quality Assurance and the proceedings were conducted by Akanksha Sharma, Assistant Registrar DIQA.
