JAMMU : Panic gripped the bordering town when a mysterious blast rocked the area and several vehicles were damaged in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Police sources here on Sunday said that mysterious blast late last night in Maira Chowkian village of Rajouri district rocked the area following which police started an investigation into the matter.
Police sources said that at around 2300 hours on Saturday, a medium intensity explosion took place near some residential houses in Maira Chowkian village of Rajouri.
“Few cars suffered damages in the explosion,” they said adding that some explosive material seems to be thrown towards the spot that caused damages.
SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli while confirming the incident said, “it is a mysterious blast and we are investigating the matter to ascertain the facts.”
