MWA discusses problems of park with Director Floriculture

JAMMU, July 8: A delegation of members of Morning Walkers Association (MWA) Shastri Nagar led by Col M R Uppal called on K K Sharma, Director, Floriculture Department and discussed the problems in the vicinity of the park at Shastri Nagar, here today.
The demands projected by the members included providing of manhole cover for water tank to avoid any eventuality, repair of lighting system of electric poles, whitewashing of boundary walls, plantation of rose creepers and ornamental plants to beautify the park, permanent engagement of ‘malis’ and ‘chowkidar’ and fixing of door closures to prevent dogs and other animals in to the garden.
The Director gave a patient hearing to the suggestions made by the members of the Association and assured them for immediate action.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Association is already looking after the affairs of maintenance of the park.
The members thanked the Director to spare some time to listen the demands relating to the improvement of the garden on spot.
The other members who were present were Surinder Sharma, Dr Rajinder Singh, T N Vaid, S Bhagat, Kuldip Mahajan, S L Bhat and B L Nagpal.
