REASI, July 19: On the directions of the Transport Commissioner, J&K, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Reasi today conducted a major enforcement drive and e-challaned 60 vehicles imposing a fine of Rs 1, 40,000 besides recommending suspension of eight driving licenses.
The MVD team, comprising ARTO Neeraj Sharma, MVI Tushaar Anthal, AMVI Surinder, AMVI Sandeep, MVTA Sikander, along with other staff, conducted enforcement drive at various locations including Moori, Katra, Balani, and Railway Station.
During the drive, over 200 vehicles were checked for violations under the Motor Vehicles Act and Rules. As a result, 60 vehicles were e-challaned while a total fine of Rs 1,40,900 was imposed. Besides, recommendation was made for suspension of eight driving licenses.
