MVD challans 25 vehicles for violations

POONCH, July 29: On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Poonch and Transport Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir, the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) Poonch carried out an intensive enforcement drive in Surankote area of the district and challaned 25 vehicles.
During the operation, the enforcement team challaned 25 vehicles for various violations of the Motor Vehicles Act. A total fine of Rs 38,500 was collected from offenders on the spot. The drive aimed to ensure road safety, compliance with traffic norms, and promote responsible driving among vehicle operators.
In addition to routine checks, the MVD team also addressed and resolved a fare-related complaint reported from the Kallar Kattal area of Tehsil Surankote, ensuring passenger rights were upheld.
