SRINAGAR, Dec 7: On the thirty sixth day of his election campaign, Dr Mustafa Kamaal addressed a well attended public meeting at Usaan Morh as also election rallies at Adipora, Rawatpora, Hayatpora and Shrai.
Targeting Mufti Sayeed and his PDP, Dr Kamaal said Mufti Sayeed has changed parties like the chameleon starting with Communist Party then to Democratic National Conference, Congress, Jan Morcha, Janta Dal, Congress again and now PDP. He is now playing in the hands of vested interests in Delhi to create mistrust in the eye of the people regarding the historic and glorious achievements of National Conference in the emancipation of the people of J&K, the NC leader alleged.
Dr Kamaal said it was Mufti Sayeed as Home Minister of India that he appointed Jag Mohan as Governor of J&K in 1990 against the wishes of the then Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, extension of AFSPA, drama of the abduction of Rubaya Sayeed his daughter and allowed series of killings of Kashmiris by security forces. “He will stand condemned in history as monster killer of innocent Muslims of Kashmir, the exiler of Kashmiri Pandits and the person who desecrated Hindu temples in south in 1984 in an attempt to dislodge G M Shah Government, he added.
Asking people to reject Mufti so that a new dawn of peace can be achieved, Dr Kamaal asked New Delhi not to encourage such persons who have already got a bad name for India and thanks to him that India is seen as oppressor in J&K and as an enemy of Muslims.
Dr Kamaal also thanked the people for the enthusiasm and strong participation in his election rallies over the last five weeks.
