Muslim donates land for toilet block at Sharda temple near LoC

NEW DELHI, Nov 12: A Muslim from Teetwal Karnah has donated a small piece of land for construction of toilet block for Sharda Temple near LoC in Teetwal, North Kashmir.
Ajaz Khan carried land papers from Teetwal on behalf of Ghyasuddin, a local who has donated one Marla of land for Toilet Block at Sharda Temple & Gurdwara at LOC Teetwal Karnah, Kashmir. All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS) honoured Ajaz Khan today at a Kashmiri Samaj event held here. “We are grateful to the donor and felicitating Ajaz Khan Coordinator for assisting in Sharda Mission, one of the issues of AIKS since 2005” said Ravinder Pandita president of AIKS.
Pandita said Ghyasuddin is gifting one marla of land free of cost for construction of Toilet blocks at Sharda Temple Teetwal, which Government couldn’t do for the last three years and is a good gesture towards the KP community. Yatris and visitors faced a lot of difficulty on account of this and construction of Toilet block will be undertaken soon by Save Sharda Committee, that is managing Sharda Temple as well as Sikh Gurudwara at Teetwal, – tip of North India right on LoC.
Ajaz Khan coordinates for all Yatri arrangements between, Army, civil administration and Sharda Committee for Sharda Temple and Sikh Gurudwara and he looked after about 10000 pilgrims that includes 2000 Kashmiri Pandits at Sharda temple during 2014 and ensured that the temple runs even during Op Sindoor and other occasions of Cross firing violations.
Noted debater and researcher Sushil Pandit, while speaking on the occasion complimented the donor for this noble gesture. AIKS office bearers Arun Shali, Rajinder Premi, Ajay Pandita, Ashish Zutshi and Kusum Shishoo presented a memento and Shawl to Ajaz Khan and his wife Nasreen at the event.
